Paul McCartney, a member of The Beatles who is about to celebrate his 81st birthday, recently announced that the band will release a new single this year with the help of AI technology. This will also be their 'final song.'

AI Technology Completes The Beatles' Final Song

McCartney stated that using AI technology, they extracted the voice of John Lennon and continued working on an unfinished song from the late 1970s.

The Beatles previously released two new songs in 1995 and 1996, 'Free as a Bird' and 'Real Love,' both of which were based on unfinished works by Lennon. However, due to technological limitations at the time, they couldn't extract only Lennon's voice from a monaural tape with piano accompaniment. Instead, they used a method of overlaying the performances of the surviving Beatles members onto the tape.

Now, thanks to advanced AI technology, the production team can extract Lennon's voice and make changes to the melody or lyrics as needed. McCartney did not disclose the specific AI technology used for this new song.
