According to Gamespot, Chris Hemsworth recently discussed his future as Thor in the MCU during an interview. He mentioned that he doesn't know what the next step for the character will be in a potential 'Thor 5.' If that's something the fans want, he would come back, but he wants to ensure that any additional appearances have enough creativity.
"I don't want to keep doing it and then have people rolling their eyes when they see me as that character," said Chris Hemsworth. "If audiences want it and if we think there's something exciting and fun to do, then great. I like the idea of being able to reshape the character multiple times. I don't have the answers yet, but I'm keen to try and figure out how we can do that and keep it from being too easy to guess."
The 'reshaping' of Thor that Hemsworth mentioned may refer to the character's transformation from 'Thor 3' to 'Thor 4.' In 'Thor 4,' Thor becomes a more humorous character, thanks to the film's director.
