Controversy Surrounding "All-In": Domestic Subtitle Team Disbands and Ceases Updates

Yesterday, a member of a subtitle team announced, "Effective immediately, the Eden Subtitles Team is disbanding and will no longer produce any subtitles." As for the reason behind this dissolution, the blame was placed on the recent hit movie "All-In," accusing the film of shifting the blame for gambling advertisements onto the subtitle team.

In the movie's plot, a scam group targets major domestic subtitle teams with insertions of deceptive advertisements, but the subtitle team where the male lead is part of did not take on such ads.

Some netizens have raised concerns that this narrative setup might mislead uninformed viewers into thinking, "Oh (even though they didn't take it, but) subtitle teams actually accept these types of ads, they must be profiting."

Prominent Twitter user "EchoingCinema," with millions of followers, posted, "There are indeed subtitle teams that collaborate on commercial advertisements, even going so far as to insert hard ads into processed raw footage (based on what I know, two or three subtitle teams exhibit such behavior more prominently). However, I have never come across any legitimate subtitle team that inserted gambling ads into processed raw footage."
