"Da Peng's "The Eighth Suspect": New Trailer Unveiled, Joining Forces with Zhang Songwen to Reconstruct a True Crime Story"

"Today, the film "The Eighth Suspect," starring Da Peng and Lin Jiadong, released the "Fateful Decision" special edition trailer and poster, with Da Peng portraying a murderer and faithfully recreating a real crime case.

Chen Xinwen (played by Da Peng) goes on the run after a robbery, assuming another person's identity to marry and lead a peaceful life for 21 years. However, Wang Shouyue (played by Lin Jiadong) discovers the truth but lacks concrete evidence to immediately apprehend the real culprit. As their lives become increasingly intertwined, Mo Zhiqiang's wife Yang Fang (played by Qi Xi) unexpectedly learns about her husband's criminal past, leading to emotional breakdowns and the revelation of more of Chen Xinwen's hidden secrets.

The film is based on a true post-revolution armed bank robbery case, directed by Li Zijun, with screenplay by Zhou Wenru. Starring Da Peng and Lin Jiadong, and also featuring Zhang Songwen, Qi Xi, and Sun Yang, the movie is currently in hot pre-sale, set to premiere nationwide on September 9th."
