Depp's 'Countesse du Barry' to open Cannes Film Festival

Beijing time on April 6th, according to foreign media reports, the Cannes Film Festival announced the opening film of this year: Johnny Depp's new film "The Countess of Du Barry".
The long-awaited historical film, Johnny Depp's French-language debut, was filmed last summer. The film tells the story between Louis XV, one of the most famous monarchs in French history, and his lover, Countess Du Barry. Depp plays Louis XV, and director and starring Maiwen Le Besco plays Duba Countess Leigh. Melville Popper, Benjamin Lavechney, and more, Why Not Productions producer.
This is also Depp's first film after winning a four-year defamation lawsuit with his ex-wife Amber Heard. It is a historical/romance film and will have its world premiere in Cannes on May 16. Theatrical release.
