Disney Faces Lawsuit as 9,000 Female Employees Allege Gender Pay Gap

According to Variety, a U.S. judge has approved a collective lawsuit allowing 9,000 female employees to sue Disney, accusing the company of paying them less than their male counterparts.
Lori Andrus, the plaintiffs' lawyer, declared after the ruling, "For four years, Disney has deceived these women. They love their jobs, they love this brand, and they want the respect and treatment they deserve in the workplace."
Disney expressed disappointment in a written statement. A company spokesperson stated, "We are disappointed with the court's decision on the Equal Pay Act claims and are considering our options."
