According to the report by "Variety," DreamWorks Animation is currently in the process of downsizing, with approximately 70 employees set to be laid off, accounting for 4% of the total workforce. This decision to reduce staff comes in response to a downturn in business, rising production costs, and ongoing strikes.
A spokesperson for DreamWorks stated to "Variety," "DreamWorks Animation is reducing approximately 70 positions as part of an overall cost-cutting initiative, affecting various departments within the company, including functional departments, special projects, television, and technology."
Furthermore, DreamWorks Animation is banking on the upcoming release of the movie "Creation of the Gods III" on November 17th overseas to turn the tide.
