Emma Cooper, the director behind the documentary "Depp vs. Hilde," has revealed that during the production, she refrained from conducting interviews with experts, journalists, or meeting with the subjects, Depp and Hilde, and their respective legal teams. The film primarily draws its content from live courtroom proceedings and various media segments from platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and others.

Cooper mentioned that she did reach out to spokespeople for both Depp and Hilde, sharing insights into the documentary's content, but she didn't request interviews.

"If the lawyers on both sides were willing to speak, I would certainly arrange interviews. However, it's important to note that if only one party agreed, I wouldn't proceed with the interviews, as balance is paramount," emphasized Cooper.

She explained that this approach was aimed at avoiding one-sided narratives from either party and to focus the film on "examining our modes of communication and how we perceive events that seemingly hold no significance."

"Don't miss out on the premiere of 'Depp vs. Hilde' today, exclusively available on the Netflix streaming platform," Cooper concluded.
