The crowd at the west square of the Bird's Nest grew larger and larger. Some fans brought picnic mats and stools, while others sat on the ground or stood beneath the Bird's Nest, eagerly listening. Fans even held inflatable sticks with the words 'Rather stand at the Bird's Nest entrance than let scalpers profit.'
