It's reported that Keith Giffen, the mastermind behind classic comic book characters like Rocket Raccoon, Blue Beetle, and Lobo, passed away from a stroke on October 9th at the age of 70. In accordance with his wishes, his family has shared the following message on his Facebook page.
"I told them I was sick...
But as long as I don't have to go to the New York Comic Con, it's all good.

For almost five decades, Keith Giffen has been hailed as a true comic book maestro by fans, particularly for his contributions to the DC Justice League. In his first year in the comic industry back in 1976, he co-created "Rocket Raccoon" with Bill Mantl.
