"The Powerpuff Girls" live-action drama canceled frequent script rework, development setbacks

The CW entertainment president Brad Schwartz announced that due to years of development resistance, script rework and other difficulties, the "Powerpuff Girls" live-action series has been canceled.

It is reported that "The Powerpuff Girls" live-action drama will officially receive a pilot order in February 2021, with actors Wang Keying, Dove Cameron and Yana Perrault playing Huahua, Bubbles and Mao Mao respectively. A pilot episode of the show had been leaked online, and many fans of the original anime weren't happy with how the show turned out. In 2021, the show will be hit again, and Huahua actor Wang Keying withdrew from the show due to schedule conflicts.
