The Recording Academy in the United States recently announced several revisions to the Grammy Award rules, with the most notable one being the restriction on the involvement of artificial intelligence. It now states that only 'human creators' are eligible to submit entries and win awards.

According to reports, the Academy's board of directors decided that elements such as music and lyrics in song compositions must contain 'meaningful' contributions from human creators.

In other changes, the number of nominations for the four major categories (Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist) has been reduced from 10 to 8.
