Former Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy revealed to IGN that "Star Wars: New Jedi Order" will focus on Daisy Ridley's character, Rey, exploring the 15 years after "Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker." Rey endeavors to unravel the mysteries of the Jedi, their actions, and the state of the galaxy, striving to fulfill her promise to Luke by rebuilding the Jedi Order.

In addition to "New Jedi Order," Lucasfilm is developing two other "Star Wars" films: one directed by James Mangold, known for "Logan," exploring the Force's stories, and another directed by Dave Filoni, connected to the series "The Mandalorian" and "Ahsoka."
