Hu Ge's Underwater Expedition in the South China Sea: Retrieving Two Batteries and Witnessing the Mysterious Wonders of the Deep

According to a report by Sina Entertainment, recently, actors Hu Ge, Liu Tao, and Chen Long participated in a large-scale environmental documentary program called "On the Road." On Wuzhizhou Island, guided by underwater photographers, Hu Ge and Chen Long engaged in a session of "blackwater photography," personally witnessing the oceanic phenomenon known as "vertical migration."

The "vertical migration" refers to the largest-scale nocturnal migration of organisms in the ocean, where plankton and marine life ascend from the deep sea to the ocean surface for activities such as feeding and reproduction.

"At night, diving into the deep sea and seeing marine creatures come up as if they are guests—it's as if they come from another world. As we observe them, it seems like we are also curiously being surrounded by them," said Hu Ge.

During the night dive, Hu Ge also discovered two batteries that had long been silent on the ocean floor. These batteries serve as a warning from the ocean; if not discovered in time, non-degradable waste like these batteries can release toxic substances, disrupting marine ecosystems and affecting the survival of marine life.

It is worth noting that "On the Road" is a large-scale environmental documentary variety show co-produced by Shanghai Broadcasting and Bilibili. Hu Ge, Liu Tao, and Chen Long, as project initiators, actively participated in various environmental protection practices, completing a green and low-carbon all-media initiative.
