Rameshank is the creature seen by Mantis while saving people in the movie. The reason for creating this character was James Gunn's consideration of Stan Lee's advanced age. He wanted to create an animated character that resembled Stan Lee and have the legendary figure provide the voice.

Unfortunately, Stan Lee passed away, and James Gunn ultimately portrayed the character himself.
