James Wan Discusses Future Plans: Intends to Return to Horror After "Aquaman 2"

Renowned director James Wan, known for his horror films like "Saw" and "The Conjuring," is making headlines as he ventures from the comfort of the horror genre into films like "Furious 7" and "Aquaman." Although seemingly excited about his foray into the superhero world with "Aquaman 2," Wan appears ready to make a comeback to horror.
During the promotion of "Aquaman 2," Wan spoke with Collider, revealing insights into his post-superhero film plans.
When asked if fans can expect "The Conjuring 4," Wan remarked, "You know, sometimes I feel like alternating between different genres."
"So, whenever I make a smaller film, I find myself wanting to make a blockbuster. Conversely, when I tackle a blockbuster, the thought of making a smaller film creeps in. Often, when I direct a smaller film, it tends to be a horror film. So, you know, I feel the desire for horror may be calling me back, and we'll see."
