In a recent interview with CBS, Hamill reflected on his time portraying Luke, from his first appearance in 1977's 'A New Hope' to the recent sequel trilogy. He admitted that he is prepared to say goodbye to the character.

"I had my time, and it was good. It's enough," he said.

Of course, Mark Hamill was also asked about a potential return. To this, he said, "Well, never say never, but I just haven't seen any reason. Let's put it this way: I mean, they have so many stories to tell, they don't need Luke."

Shortly after the release of 'The Rise of Skywalker,' the veteran actor penned a heartfelt letter to fans, thanking them for their support of the Skywalker legacy and the Star Wars universe.
