Rolling director denies casting rumors of "Superman: Legacy": It hasn't started yet

James Gunn is asking fans not to believe everything they hear about Superman movie casting. With so few details to grab hold of, it's no surprise that rumors keep swirling about Superman: Legacy.
Only a few things are confirmed for DC's Superman reboot. By now, fans know the film is titled Superman: Legacy, Henry Cavill won't be reprising his role as Superman, and James Gunn is directing and writing the film, which is due out in 2025. While the lack of concrete details leaves a lot of room for questions and speculation, one of the most pressing topics is who will play Superman.
Rumor has it that the studio has sent out casting calls in their 20s for the roles of Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen. Gunn responded on Twitter: "That's not it. We haven't started casting other than making rosters, and not limited to people in their 20s." Previously, Gunn said his Superman would be younger than forty , possibly younger than Batman.
In theory, fans might not have to wait for more Superman casting details. When asked if fans can expect a major casting announcement within the next six months, Gunn replied, "Yes."
