According to reports, as of 7:08 PM on January 1, the total box office of the New Year's Day release (December 30, 2023, to January 1, 2024) has surpassed $1.5 billion.

"Creation of the Gods," "Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms," "Oppenheimer," "Undercover," and "If You Are the One 3" secured the top five spots on the box office chart.

Data from Maoyan Professional also indicates that the New Year's Day release in 2024 set a new record for the Chinese film history with a total of 36.16 million audience members and 1.402 million screenings, breaking the record for total screenings in the history of the New Year's Day release.

Recently, the State Film Administration announced important indicators for the Chinese film industry in 2023: the total box office for the year reached $54.915 billion. Of this, domestic films accounted for $46.005 billion, representing 83.77%.
