The Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recently announced that it will spend 4 billion won (approximately RMB 21 million) on 4K high-definition restoration of more than 300 film and television works including the "Answer" series, "Ghosts" and "Signal".
Subtitles for hearing-impaired audiences will also be provided for 45 film and television works such as "Under the Queen's Umbrella" and "Mr. Sunshine".
In addition, officials from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea stated that the South Korean government’s support budget for the broadcast video content industry this year is 123.5 billion won (about 650 million yuan), which is 2.5 times that of last year.
