'Stranger Things' is set in the 90s, which aligns well with Linda's breakout role in 'Terminator 2' in 1991, where she created a classic on-screen image. Furthermore, the cliffhanger ending of the fourth season leads the story into a major showdown in the upcoming season, making the addition of a hardcore female action star like Linda Hamilton a much-needed reinforcement for Hawkins.
