Tencent to Remake 'Chinese Paladin 3,' Fans Worried about Ruining the Classic

Recently, there have been rumors online that Tencent will be remaking the wuxia drama 'Chinese Paladin 3,' produced by Yuekai Pictures and scheduled to start filming in October.

In response to this news, many netizens expressed their concerns as 'Chinese Paladin 3' is considered a classic among wuxia dramas, and the performances by the original cast, including Hu Ge, Yang Mi, Liu Shishi, and Wallace Huo, have deeply resonated with the audience. It is widely believed that a remake has a high chance of 'ruining the classic.' Dissatisfaction was also expressed towards the lack of creativity in the entertainment industry, where original works are scarce, and remakes of classics seem to be the norm.
