TV Series Adaptation of the Novel 'The Son-in-Law 2' Still in Pre-production with Original Cast

According to Sina TV, at the Tencent Video Annual Showcase, Cao Huayi, the Chairman of New Classics Media under Yuewen Group, revealed that 'The Son-in-Law 2' is still in the pre-production stage. The series will feature the return of the original cast and introduce some intriguing plot twists, promising surprises for the audience.

The TV drama 'The Son-in-Law' is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Furious Banana, a writer on Yuewen Group's Qidian Chinese website. Directed by Deng Ke, the series stars Guo Qilin and Song Yi in the leading roles. It tells the story of Ning Yi (Guo Qilin), a son-in-law of the Su family, who assists his wife Su Tan'er (Song Yi) in building a successful business empire during the Wu Dynasty, eventually becoming the wealthiest man in Jiangning.
