Brazilian TV Actor Found Dead, Family Lawyer Suspects Strangulation

According to Sina Entertainment, Jefferson Machado, a Brazilian TV actor who had been missing since January, was found dead. The family lawyer of Machado stated that the 44-year-old actor's body showed signs of possible strangulation.

According to reports from Rio de Janeiro news media, Machado's body was found in the backyard of a house in Campo Grande, Brazil, last Monday. He was buried in a box and covered with concrete. Machado's family lawyer then released a statement on social media, announcing his death.

Lawyer Jairo wrote, 'I regretfully announce the sad news of the passing of actor Jefferson Machado, whose body was found with signs of strangulation. This discovery confronts us with the cruelty that exists in society and inspires us to seek truth and justice in the face of such far-reaching cases. According to preliminary investigation results, Machado's body was found in a box buried deep in a hole. We feel deep sadness and outrage for the suffering Machado experienced.'

In an interview with the media, lawyer Jairo further described Machado's physical condition. Regarding the 'marks of strangulation' found on Machado's body, Jairo described it as a 'line' on his neck. The lawyer added, 'His arms were tied behind his head, and he was buried in a box that resembled the boxes in his own house.'

Jairo also told the media that the backyard where Machado's body was found belongs to a friend who is under investigation by the authorities.

According to news media in Rio de Janeiro, Machado was reported missing on January 27th this year. His family and friends immediately alerted the authorities when they learned that he had left 8 dogs alone at home, as this behavior was inconsistent with his love for animals.
