Punishment for Spreading False Information! TFBOYS Xi'an Concert Scalping Rumors Exposed

According to a statement by the "Cybersecurity Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security" on August 23rd, several internet users recently reported that certain individuals on a social media platform were spreading false claims such as "TFBOYS concert tickets skyrocket to $2 million, scalpers reselling for as high as $2 million each." This triggered widespread attention and debates among netizens, causing a significant disruption to social order. However, upon investigation, these assertions have been proven to be entirely baseless and lacking any evidence.

The investigation results revealed that the originator of these rumors is an individual named Wang. In pursuit of gaining attention and generating discussion, Wang concocted the sensational story of "TFBOYS organizing a concert with tickets reaching an astonishing $2 million per ticket" and propagated it across the internet. Faced with questioning from authorities, Wang readily admitted to the fabrication, acknowledging the dissemination of false information. Given that these actions likely violated relevant provisions outlined in Article 25 of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China," the Yan Tower Police Department in Xi'an administered an administrative detention as a penalty.
