The Witcher's third season has faced challenges in its development. The audience rating on review websites is only 22%, with viewers continuing to criticize costume design and awkward dialogues. However, the biggest complaint is about the season's oversimplification of the original plot, which producer Tomek Baginski blames on TikTok and the audience.
In an interview with Wyborcza, he straightforwardly stated, 'The younger the audience for a TV series, the less important the logic of the plot.'
When asked by the interviewer what is important for young people, he replied, 'Pure emotional content, raw emotional combinations. TikTok and YouTube, these platforms have grown with young audiences, and they easily consume video after video, seeking 'fast food' entertainment... Dear children, your actions make it difficult for you to appreciate the satisfaction that comes with consuming long-form content and embracing intricate cause-and-effect relationships.'
