Director's Insights on "District 9" Sequel "District 10": Production Uncertainty

Neill Blomkamp discussed the highly anticipated sequel "District 10," following the acclaimed sci-fi movie "District 9" in 2009. The director, who recently helmed the film adaptation of the game "GT Racing," shared his thoughts in an interview.

"I'm unsure whether it will come into production," he admitted. "I'm not sure if I'm inclined to do it at this point, but it might come to fruition at some point in the future."

The original "District 9" achieved tremendous success not only at the box office (reportedly made on a $30 million budget, grossing $210 million worldwide) but also through viral marketing. The film earned Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Visual Effects, and Best Film Editing.
