According to the registration information at the Film Bureau, the film is produced by Beijing Enlight Pictures and involves the participation of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
According to related information, the film is a 'new realism' movie with comedic elements, starring Lei Jiayin and Ma Li. It is expected to be released during the Spring Festival next year.
The filming of Zhang Yimou's 'new realism' legal-themed film 'The 20th Article' officially commenced on the morning of July 1st at a middle school in Langfang, Hebei. The opening ceremony was held in an indoor basketball court, and Zhang Yimou, dressed in white summer attire, was in good spirits. Several lead actors, including Lei Jiayin, Ma Li, Gao Ye, and Liu Yaowen, were present at the shooting location in Langfang.
Regarding this film, director Zhang Yimou mentioned that it is a 'new realism' movie with a certain level of authorial expression while also appealing to a wide audience. The film focuses on people's livelihoods and will attract ordinary viewers, who will be able to understand it.
It is understood that this is the first official collaboration between Zhang Yimou and Ma Li in a film.
