Recently, images of merchandise related to the film "Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom" have surfaced, showcasing the fresh appearances and gear for Aquaman, Ocean Master, and Black Manta. With just three and a half months left until the official release of the movie, there have been no official teaser posters or previews released, but these images have already piqued the interest of fans.
During the production of the 2018 film "Aquaman," Jason Momoa proposed the idea of a sequel, but director James Wan was not in a rush to proceed at the time. However, in January 2019, Wan announced the commencement of development for the sequel. In February, David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick was confirmed to write the screenplay for the sequel. In August 2020, Wan was once again confirmed as the director for the sequel. Subsequently, in June 2021, the official title for the sequel was revealed. The film began shooting in late June 2021 in London. Now, fans only have to wait for less than four months to witness the all-new story of "Aquaman 2" in theaters on December 20, 2023.
