Recently, James Cameron shared insights on the progress of the three sequels following "Avatar" in an interview with "People" magazine. Encouragingly, the post-production of "Avatar 3" is on track, set to meet its scheduled release during the Christmas season of 2025.

Cameron revealed that the post-production of "Avatar 2," the motion capture and live-action filming for "Avatar 3," and a small portion of the filming for "Avatar 4" are simultaneously underway. Due to a six-year time jump in the story of "Avatar 4," a portion of it needed to be filmed in advance.

Speaking about "Avatar 3," Cameron emphasized a deeper portrayal of characters, stating, "The most notable creative advancement in 'Avatar 3' lies in the deepening of character depth. The film will introduce new cultures, new creatures, and, most importantly, delve into the hearts and souls of the characters, accompanied by intriguing new additions to the cast."

Earlier, the official release dates for the three "Avatar" sequels were announced: "Avatar 3" is set to hit theaters on December 19, 2025, followed by "Avatar 4" on December 21, 2029, and "Avatar 5" on December 19, 2031. Anticipate the continuation of this captivating series.
