Filming for 'Captain America 4: A Beautiful New World' is currently taking place in Washington, D.C., and according to reports, Robert Downey Jr. was spotted on set.

The film will focus on Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, as he takes on the mantle of Captain America. Fans will also see Harrison Ford reprising his role as General Ross.

Based on information from Nawar Shora, who works in Washington, Shora mentioned having a conversation with a security personnel who claimed to have seen Robert Downey Jr. on set.

"They are shooting 'Captain America 4' around the White House and near my office. I noticed the lights and equipment while I was walking quickly, and I eventually asked one of the security personnel about it," Shora wrote. "He was talkative and nice, and he mentioned that Robert Downey Jr. was also there, driving various luxury cars."

Robert Downey Jr. currently has a series on Max called 'Downey's Dream Cars,' where he collaborates with a team of experts to restore his collection of classic cars, making them more eco-friendly.

This report is likely unrelated to his show since 'Dream Cars' premiered before the production of 'Captain America 4.' So, how could Robert Downey Jr. return in the latest Captain America film?

It is unlikely that Marvel Studios would bring Tony Stark back to life after 'Avengers 4,' so it can be assumed that if he does appear in the movie, it will not be as MCU's Tony Stark. Given the current involvement of the multiverse in the MCU, he is likely to portray another variation of Tony Stark or a different character.

However, it's important to note that the leak being true and Robert Downey Jr. beingseen on set doesn't necessarily mean he will appear in 'Captain America 4.' Perhaps he just wanted to hang out and have fun with his co-stars and drive some fancy cars.
