"Barbie 2"? Margot Robbie Says It's Not Impossible

Margot Robbie once again discusses the possibility of a sequel to the movie "Barbie," stating that she doesn't rule out the possibility. Robbie mentions that shooting a sequel may come with challenges, but she isn't completely dismissing the idea.

In an interview with "Variety" magazine, Robbie states, "We put everything into the first 'Barbie,' and I'm proud of its success as an original film in a landscape dominated by sequels, prequels, and remakes."

"Some of my thoughts are, 'If we were to make 'Barbie 2,' then... I don't know. But at the same time, I'd do anything to return to the set. I'd do anything as long as I could work with director Greta Gerwig again and collaborate with Ryan Gosling. Filming 'Barbie' was so much fun. So, it's not impossible, but it would require a lot." Robbie says.

Previously, Robbie mentioned she "couldn't imagine" a sequel to "Barbie." Her latest remarks seem to leave more room for the possibility, but nothing has been confirmed at this stage. Given the immense box office success, financial interests may drive executives and stakeholders to advocate for the production of a "Barbie" sequel.

During the interview, Robbie also talked about how the producer of the movie "Oppenheimer" called her, suggesting a change in the release date for "Barbie." "He said, 'I think you should change the release date.' I replied, 'We won't change the release date. If you're concerned about competition with us, then consider rescheduling your film.'" she recalled.

Both films were released on the same day, sparking what became known as the "Barbie Oppenheimer" phenomenon. (Source: Gamespot)
