So far, this sci-fi film has garnered widespread attention, propelling Netflix to remarkable viewership. Within its debut week, it secured the top spot on the Netflix rankings, amassing 23.9 million views in just the first three days.
Snyder recently celebrated the film's Netflix triumph on Twitter, exclaiming, "Global number one movie!!! Thank you!"
In a statement earlier this week, Snyder remarked, "Introducing 'Rebellion of the Moon' to a global audience has truly been an unparalleled experience. I am thrilled that the film has achieved global recognition. We have the most dedicated and loyal fans worldwide, something every filmmaker dreams of. Witnessing their unwavering support is a profoundly meaningful journey."
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Snyder revealed that both parts of "Rebellion of the Moon" will have R-rated director's cut editions, set to premiere on Netflix. According to Snyder, the director's cut introduces significant changes to the epic storyline.
"It's a whole additional hour. It's not just slightly different or a bit more. There are many areas of the film that are different. More content has been added throughout."
