"Rise of the Planet of the Apes 4" Marks the Beginning of a New Trilogy Protagonist Unacquainted with Caesar

"Empire" magazine has revealed new insights into "Rise of the Planet of the Apes 4." While drawing inspiration from the previous trilogy, this film signifies a fresh start, unveiling a new era on the Ape Planet.

Contrary to the events following Caesar's demise in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes 3," this Wes Ball-directed movie does not pick up directly. Set approximately 300 years after Caesar led his people to the Promised Land—his legendary leadership has largely been forgotten over time.

However, it is Caesar's legacy and the spirit of "Strength in Unity" that inspire the new hero, Noah, in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes 4." Owen Teague, portraying this character, remarked on Caesar, saying, "Noah doesn't know who he is. One of his journeys is to discover this legacy and its various interpretations. Noah has to figure out what all of this means."

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes 4" is a brand-new creation, and a more expansive story is set to unfold.

"From the outset, we envisioned it as a trilogy," director Ball stated. "We have some great ideas about how it might ultimately develop and how it fits into the legacy of these films. So, I'm currently discussing the next story with the studio."
