Robert Downey Jr. Criticizes Nolan's Set: No Chairs, No Sitting

Robert Downey Jr. recently revealed on a talk show that on Christopher Nolan's film set, actors are strictly forbidden from returning to their seats after shooting because there are no chairs available.
"You can't go back and sit in your chair because there are no chairs!"
Despite the unique setting on Nolan's set compared to other films he's worked on, he believes it allows actors to fully immerse themselves in the on-set experience:
"It feels like you're shedding armor, but it's intentionally arranged to create a different atmosphere. The pace is fast, and you quickly realize that if you're looking at your phone or wandering around in the logistics and catering area — oh, there's no service area there either — you won't keep up with his pace."
Anne Hathaway has also previously disclosed that Nolan prohibits chairs on set to maintain the actors' focus. She stated, "He doesn't allow anyone to sit in chairs. His reasoning is that if you have chairs, people will sit, and if people sit, they won't work."
