According to Korean media, animation company "Pencil Meditation" has recently secured the rights to "A Better Tomorrow 2" for an animated adaptation, diving into production with plans to unveil the film in 2025. The decision to release it in theaters or through online video services (OTT) is yet to be finalized.
"A Better Tomorrow 2," starring Chow Yun-fat, Leslie Cheung, Dean Shek, and Ti Lung, originally premiered in Hong Kong in 1987.
