BLACKPINK Poised to Continue as Four-Member Group! Two Members Have Signed Agreements

According to Korean media reports, BLACKPINK members have recently reached agreements with YG regarding the continuation of "group activities." Two members have already agreed to the principle of "continuing BLACKPINK activities" and have signed contracts with YG.

It has been confirmed that YG plans to officially announce this after sealing contracts with other members, though their latest response states, "While negotiations are ongoing, the final details have not been confirmed."

On the 14th, YG stated in their quarterly report, "As of the disclosure cut-off date, negotiations are underway for the exclusive contract with BLACKPINK. The final outcome will be introduced in future announcements related to 'investment judgment and other major operational matters.'"

Whether the four members of BLACKPINK will sign exclusive contracts with YG remains uncertain. So far, no members have renewed contracts with YG. LISA decided early on to pursue an independent path (refer to the July 12th report in the Cultural Daily, "BLACKPINK LISA's Contract Renewal with YG is Uncertain"), and other members are also in talks with various companies for potential collaborations.

However, some members are still considering signing individual activity contracts with YG. A source in the music industry stated, "To bring them in, some places have proposed deposits in units of 10 billion Korean won," and "some believe that the efficiency of members collaborating with YG, who previously supported BLACKPINK activities, is still high, so they continue to communicate with YG."
