Young Actor's Demise: Angus Claude from 'Euphoria'

The actor who played the role of the young drug dealer Fez in 'Euphoria,' Angus Claude, has passed away at the age of 25.

TMZ reported that Claude died at his home in Oakland, California. The police and firefighters responded to an emergency medical report on July 31 at noon. Claude's mother called 911, stating that he may have overdosed and had no pulse. Firefighters reported that the subject was already deceased upon their arrival. The police stated that the cause of Claude's death is currently unknown and under investigation.

According to ET, sources revealed that Claude had been struggling with intense suicidal thoughts after the recent death of his father. He had been in Ireland with his family to bid farewell to his father, and upon returning to the United States, he tried to cope with the grief with the support of his family. Claude had previous mental health issues and depression, which the police are currently investigating as part of the cause of his death.

Claude's family released a statement expressing profound grief over his passing. They described him as a special presence in their lives and disclosed that Claude's father had also passed away recently, and they had said their goodbyes just last week. They stated, 'Our only solace now is knowing that he has reunited with his father, who was also his best friend.' The family also mentioned, 'Angus was open about his struggles with mental health, and we hope his departure will remind others that they are not alone and not to fight their battles in silence. We want the world to remember him for his humor, smile, and love for everyone.' They requested privacy during this time.

Claude had no prior acting experience before being spotted by casting agents while walking the streets of New York. He was invited to audition for the role of Fez in 'Euphoria' when he was working at a restaurant in Brooklyn.
