According to "Variety" reports, Marvel's creative team is facing numerous challenges with the November release of "Creation of the Gods 2," a movie that has been plagued by extensive reshoots. The film's financial performance is currently looking less than promising.

With a budget of $250 million, the movie is expected to open with a box office revenue of only $75-80 million, far below the $185 million that "Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms" achieved during its opening weekend in the United States last year.

The sequel introduces two new superpowered female characters, but this decision hasn't seamlessly built upon the success of the original "Creation of the Gods." Instead, it led to a prolonged four-week reshoot to make the convoluted plot more coherent. Additionally, during the late stages of production, director Nia Dacosta began shooting another film, leaving many puzzled.

"It's a bit unusual when you're directing a $250 million movie, and the director leaves a few months later," says an insider familiar with the film's production.

In June of this year, Marvel took an unconventional step by conducting a public screening in Texas. The audience's feedback was merely "average," which doesn't bode well for the movie.
