Tom Cruise praised "The Flash" and the last movie that was praised was "Creed"
Upcoming superhero movie The Flash is done and awaits its June 16 release. New DC co-head James Gunn called it "probably one of the greatest superhero movies of all time".
Now, The Flash movie has a new fan: actor, superstar and movie saviour, Tom Cruise.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Cruise had seen the film and liked it so much that he called the film's director, Andy Mushietti, to rave about it.
Cruise met with Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav at the end of February, several people familiar with the matter said. Zaslav said the film was very good, and then aroused Cruise's curiosity. Cruise asked if he could take a look, and Zaslav gave Cruise a copy of the film.
The insider added that a Warner Bros. employee took the movie to Cruise's home in Beverly Hills and stayed there until he finished watching The Flash. It's unclear what format Cruise was viewing in, digital or film. When Cruise finished watching, the movie was sent back to the employee, who took it back to the studio.
Ah Tang was fascinated by the movie, and called the director to say that "The Flash" "has everything you want to see in a movie" and "this is the movie we need now."
There is very little news about Tom Cruise praising a movie. The last time Tom cruise publicly praised the movie was the sci-fi movie "Creed" released in 2020.
