Warner Bros. Highlights Major IP Holdings but Yet to Fully Harness Their Potential

According to a report from Gamespot, Warner Bros. executives have stated that some of their biggest IP holdings, including "The Lord of the Rings," "Harry Potter," and DC, have yet to be fully leveraged.

Zaslav emphasized that possessing these blockbuster IPs is a major advantage for Warner Bros. Discovery, but it also presents a challenge. "The challenge lies in our content, our great - Harry Potter, DC, The Lord of the Rings - content that hasn't been fully tapped into," he said.

Zaslav also mentioned that there hasn't been a "long-form" Superman movie in over a decade, with the last one dating back to 2013's "Man of Steel," but he indicated that this is about to change soon.

Similarly, Zaslav noted, "We've been away from Harry Potter for over a decade, and the same goes for The Lord of the Rings."
