"Former Exes 4: Youthful Marriages" Reveals Trailer and Poster, Set to Premiere on September 28th

Today, director Tian Yusheng's latest masterpiece, "Former Exes 4: Youthful Marriages," unveiled its scheduled trailer and poster, announcing its premiere on September 28th during the National Day period. In this film, viewers will witness how Han Geng portrays Meng Yun and Zheng Kai plays the role of Yu Fei, two old friends from the "Former Exes" series, as they navigate new emotional challenges. Deeply affected by the "emotional breakup aftermath," Meng Yun searches for his true love while contemplating the significance of marriage. On the other hand, Yu Fei enters a "marital cooling-off period," progressing from lovers' quarrels to a barrage of issues, embarking on a fresh round of romantic trials. Additionally, female characters including Yu Wenwen, Liu Yase, Zeng Mengxue, Zhang Tianai, Zhu Yanmanzi, and Luomi make their appearances, adding vibrant dimensions to the story.

The newly released poster features Han Geng and Zheng Kai immersed in a massive chat window, each bearing their emotions. Simultaneously, the chat records of Yu Wenwen, Liu Yase, Zeng Mengxue, Zhang Tianai, Zhu Yanmanzi, and Luomi present their distinctive perspectives when facing love's challenges. This remains a romantic comedy brimming with witty humor, exuding the unmistakable "Former Exes" flair, greatly heightening anticipation for its release.

As early as 2017, the film "Former Exes 3: Farewell to Former Lovers" triggered a wave of breakup-related emotions. Whether it's the poignant love dialogues or the iconic songs like "Letting Go" and "Decency," audiences still resonate with them to this day. After six years, the protagonist Meng Yun steps into a new phase of emotions, amidst familial pressure for marriage. Armed with the spirit of "never giving up," he questions the institution of marriage, setting the stage for a new narrative.

Following a passionate love affair, Meng Yun finds himself deeply entrenched in the "breakup aftermath," accustomed to single life but yearning for a pure romance. With the entrance of characters like Lin Jia portrayed by Yu Wenwen, Liu Yase's Liuliu, Zhang Tianai's Xiao Ai, Zhu Yanmanzi's Huang Yue, and Luomi's Wang Zi into Meng Yun's life, what kind of story will unfold between them? Will Meng Yun find the answers he seeks within his heart? These questions pique the curiosity of the audience. Han Geng reveals, "Each girl that Meng Yun encounters represents a different perspective on real-world love."

Differing from Meng Yun, his good friend Yu Fei and his girlfriend Ding Dian are facing the challenge of marriage. One leans toward sentimentality while the other is more rational. Hence, the two decide to embark on a "marital cooling-off period," attempting to experience married life in advance. In the trailer, they transition from sweet lovers' interactions to a cascade of problems, seemingly encountering one "fatal issue" after another, leading Yu Fei to exclaim, "I never thought marriage life would be this tough."

Similar to the "honesty round" and the "closure round" in the film "Former Exes 3: Farewell to Former Lovers," Yu Fei and Ding Dian also engage in multiple "family meetings" in the movie, humorously discussing and resolving various issues, showcasing the charm of real-life situations. Regarding the fresh concept of the "marital cooling-off period," Zheng Kai comments during an interview, "The entire process is quite amusing, and it also reflects the mindset of young people. Yu Fei and Ding Dian are just trying it out for everyone." How the film will present this intriguing "marital cooling-off period" has also ignited the audience's anticipation.

Directed by Tian Yusheng, the film "Former Exes 4: Youthful Marriages" stars Han Geng and Zheng Kai in leading roles. Special appearances include Yu Wenwen and Liu Yase, while Zeng Mengxue takes the lead, Zhang Tianai makes a special appearance, Zhu Yanmanzi contributes a guest appearance, and Luomi plays a family role. The movie is co-produced by Huayi Brothers Film Co., Ltd., New Santang Film (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Taopiaopiao Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd., and China Film Co., Ltd., with a scheduled release date on September 28th, during the National Day period.
