Jason Momoa Possibly Bids Farewell to Aquaman: Dim Prospects for

Recently, Jason Momoa, the lead actor of "Aquaman 2," hinted that this might be his final portrayal of Aquaman. As DC Films bids farewell to the DCEU and enters the new DCU, Warner Bros. hasn't explicitly ruled out the possibility of "Aquaman 3," but Momoa's remarks cast doubt on its likelihood, reflecting a unique and extended journey in his life.

During the Los Angeles premiere of "Aquaman 2," director James Wan emotionally praised Momoa, saying, "You will always be my Aquaman, Jason Momoa!" Momoa reciprocated the sentiment, saying, "This might be the last time we stand on stage together, a long journey. I've played this role for 12 years, longer than any other in my career."

Expressing pride in "Aquaman 2's" success, Momoa thanked Warner Bros., DC, and others for their collective efforts. He expressed the cool feeling of dedicating himself to a role in the industry, passionately conveying his love for the project to peers.

In a recent interview with ET, Momoa mentioned, "If audiences enjoy 'Aquaman 2,' perhaps there will be 'Aquaman 3,' but right now, it doesn't seem optimistic."

Rumors persist about Momoa's involvement in the new DCU as the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo, but nothing has been officially confirmed.

Addressing this, Peter Safran, CEO of DC Films and producer of both "Aquaman" films, told the UK's Independent, "We will see what unfolds for him in the future. I know Jason Momoa will always have a home in DC and at Warner Bros. In fact, his next film is 'Oppenheimer' (produced by Warner Bros.). If this marks the end of his journey as Aquaman, that's okay; if it continues, that's okay too. I hope people truly support him on this journey."
