The TV series, based on the novel by Ma Boyong, tells the gripping story of Chang'an City on the brink of danger on the eve of the Yuan Festival during the Tang Dynasty. The city's fate rests in the hands of the death-row prisoner Zhang Xiaoqing and his partner Li Bi, who embark on a heart-pounding mission to save Chang'an within the span of twelve hours.
