Gary Oldman:

Legendary actor Gary Oldman reveals that "Harry Potter" and Christopher Nolan's trilogy "The Batman" saved him during a career downturn. In an interview, Oldman shares how the film series, known as "The Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms" and "The Batman," emerged at a crucial juncture, offering a lifeline to his career.

"Thank God for 'Harry Potter'," he exclaims. "Thank God, I'll tell you, these two films—'The Batman' and 'Harry Potter'—really saved me because it meant I could do the least work, get the most money, and then go home to be with my kids."

Gary Oldman:

"At the age of 42, I went through a divorce and gained custody of my son," he explains. In 2001, Oldman divorced his then-wife, American model Donya Fiorentino, and secured custody of their child.

"It's tough in itself because the industry was changing, and many projects were filmed in places like Hungary, Budapest, Prague, Australia, and so on. So, I turned down a lot of work."

Oldman chose to raise his child as close to home as possible, seemingly shuttling between Los Angeles and London. Participating in "The Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms" film series and Christopher Nolan's "The Batman" trilogy allowed him to achieve this, with no compromise on income.

Oldman portrayed Sirius Black in the "Harry Potter" film series and played Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy. (Source: IGN)
