According to reports from foreign media, 90-year-old Michael Caine himself has confirmed his retirement after the release of his new film, "The Great Escapee."

Previously, Michael Caine had expressed his intention to retire but was often tempted back, but this time, he stated, "I've been saying I want to retire, well, I am now." He has appeared in classic works like "The Italian Job," "Hannah and Her Sisters," "The Dark Knight" trilogy, and "Interstellar" and was also a favorite actor of director Christopher Nolan.

Back in October 2021, British actor Michael Caine, aged 88, announced his retirement on a radio program, and the film released in North America on September 17, "The Best Salesman," was his last movie. Caine revealed that his spinal condition wasn't great and had started affecting his legs, making it difficult for him to walk. Having already written several books, he declared, "I am now a writer, not an actor."
